Save the Date: Embrace Regional Conference – Care and Resilience for Children
Integrating Children’s Mental Health in Schools and Communities
May 14, 2026
We are pleased to announce an important upcoming event dedicated to children’s mental health in Romania, grounded in a truly multidisciplinary approach.
On May 14, 2026, the Regional Conference on Care and Resilience for Children will bring together key stakeholders to explore how schools and communities can better support children’s emotional well-being.
Building Supportive Environments for Children
Children’s mental health is shaped by the environments they grow up in. That’s why this conference focuses on a central question:
How can we better equip schools and communities to support children’s emotional well-being?
From prevention and early intervention to collaboration across sectors, the discussions will aim to identify practical solutions that can be applied in real-world settings.
Participants will explore:
- How to integrate mental health support into everyday school life
- Ways to strengthen cooperation between institutions and communities
- Approaches to building resilience in children from an early age
A Collaborative, Multidisciplinary Dialogue
The conference will bring together over 80 participants, including:
- Representatives of central and local authorities in the Northeast region
- Experts in education, health, child protection, psychology, and social work
- Civil society organisations working in child welfare and mental health
- Parents and child representatives.
By creating space for dialogue across these groups, the event aims to bridge perspectives and encourage meaningful collaboration.
Moving from Awareness to Action
This conference is a step toward embedding children’s mental health into the core of our education systems and communities.
By working together, we can move from awareness to concrete, sustainable solutions that support children’s resilience and long-term well-being.
